… So how can the US reunify across fractured political lines? It seems an exotestal threat is always needed to unify Americans historically and now. World wars, feat of the Soviet Union, and fundamentalist extremist Islamic terrorism all unified our populous before and seems to be now, with the Russia invasion and attack Ukraine.

Unity by war seems to be all Americans can use to feel a sense of oneness with their fellow people of the US. That sad reality was and is true as over one hundred years ago. Only when the very thing that one holds dear will we feel like fellow neighbors are we and not us and them.

Unity is the thing that democracy is made for in governing a city, county, state, or nation-state. It’s slow, messy, and tedious, but that is what makes it great.

So many voices of millions of people must be heard in voting for their representatives of government at all levels.

That takes time, but the power of the people will be the people that will not be tyrannical or myopic in scope.

We are a democracy that needs us to exist, and this is a time when we must remember that a rule by force and fascism is not what we never want here.

Right makes might!

Not the opposite.
