Admitting you don’t know and will likely never know everything is one step towards achieving anything approaching happiness. Once, I thought I knew or could easily talk around saying that I knew about just about anything. That vain thought was actually the fact I really did not know that much about a ton of things.

Know where you want to end up before you start while knowing you will likely never reach that exact location. I never dreamed I would lose just about all my ability to fully function during my 20s and most of my 30s while having undiagnosed Lyme disease for 21 years. However, here I am, and I am honestly better off for facing those 21 years of unknowingly having the disease. I’d likely not have the wife or life I have now if I did not have Lyme disease like I did.

Learning while failing is often the most productive and terrifying thing you can ever try.

Failing while in school or college might feel like the end of the world, but it is really like failing with training wheels while learning to ride a bike.

It will suck, but it is a lot better than failing when that means you wind up in jail or dead after school and college
