I never knew having a wife that desired you as much, if not more, than I do her would feel so special. Seeing Fatema, the one time I did and experiencing us as we are. Those were no doubt the best days of my 38 years on earth.

As we chat, look, and video chat over these last months she is not with me here, I desire to be with her more than ever. Not knowing and then knowing seems that much worse than never knowing to begin with. No one wants to ever be a separated newlywed, trust me.

I am thankful for those 80 or so hours we had together, yet now we feel the separation multiple times more than before. We were engaged for over two years before we met, however now after meeting, these past five months felt like five years.

Turning months to years into emotional time reminds me of how I felt in high school and the never ending countdown to summer.

Second tick like minutes, and hours like days.

Can’t time just pass like normal already?

If distance makes the heart grow fonder, I’d love to see what closeness does!
