Diabetic Cyborg Life 10/31: Halloween, not my Favorite

Besides free and or discount candy the day after at stores, Halloween has never been my favorite day. My ever-present want for more sugar and chocolate now and as a kid was and is all this day has ever meant to me. Free candy on the day as a kid, and discounted candy as an adult at stores is what Halloween was and is.

I know I dressed up as “Ninja Turtles” and “The Punisher” as a kid, “The Crow” as a young adult, but now I just do not do anything. I guess my diabetes and illnesses affect my feelings toward the day and now with COVID, I think it is ever worse to celebrate. If and when kids come, I might feel different, but that day will come when it comes.
