Watching Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings seemed to help me cope with mom’s death more than anything. The whole story being about the mother’s death and coping with it did my soul well seeing the whimsical tale. Overcoming, dealing with, and living through the death of a strong-willed awesome mom and woman as Ying Li, Shang-Chi mother was therapeutic for me.
