A line lifted from a recent episode of an all-time favorite Doctor Who really puts things in perspective. My recent and life-long health issues and life troubles ebbing and flowing is a temporary state in my life. When those matters become a threat to life is when they require a solution.

My multiple sclerosis, MS, now has issues, symptoms, that don’t remit or relapse as the remitting and relapsing version of MS does. The state of progressive MS is defined by those symptoms not going away, or “remitting.”

Secondary Progressive is likely the term that I am classified now. Though, my sub-specialist neurologist in Charlotte did not like classifying the stages of a progressive MS. In his view once one is progressive, they have progressive MS.

No. classification of a form of progressive MS is needed.

I will have to see how my new sub-specialist neurologist sees things vs. my old one in Charlotte.

I have a feeling my new sub-specialist neurologist in Dallas, TX might be more by the book as far as classifying my MS.

Yet, that will have to be seen when I see him in the last week of November.
