Well, the hearing was very COVID life as usual via Zoom and took less than 5 minutes. The hearing started late and the judge seemed to be new at this Zoom hearing stuff. He was swearing at me before he introduced the case. Though, I can overlook all as he went out of his way to assure, he said both Maldonado and Nur correctly.

That could be for legal court purposes, but it was still an endearing thing for him as the judge. My soon to be wife was worried I was going to quizzed on Islam. That was as much likely as my being found as a convict in the background checks I ran for state and local and federal hits in those criminal databases.

That less than 5-minute court hearing was just about as best it could’ve been for my name change. I just have to go to the district county clerk’s office and pick my endorsed copy of the official judgment signed by the judge. Then scanning and printing and all my applications for a new Passport, Social Security card and Driver’s License in that order.

The new Passport is like the key to all other IDs, well in Texas anyway.
