These times makes me react as a either a Pollyanna and all will be well, or a Debbie Downer and we are all going to die now! COVID-19 with rampant illness and death are things people have not dealt with for over 100 years, and now we are having to cope the best we can. My own bipolar ways of worry and optimism are just my way of dealing with so much bad when I can empathize with the peril most feel.

I can certifiably say that at least I don’t have the disorder after much testing over the past 3 years. Just the stress of these times makes us react in different ways to handle the trauma and death we are witnessing. Some make out the facts of that daily news as toxic and useless, yet I can watch and not feel much anxiety unless I make it myself.

Hearing the facts of what this illness is doing is not toxic, as the toxicity is added when we react to it. It depends on how we react to the data and stimulus as I say about social media in general. We control how we react to the info, as I say I react with my bipolar ways, I still realize when I am doing it.

It does not control me and sometimes I need to vent as we all must to maintain sanity!
