Looking back to gauge how we can act to make the best of where we are at this time is needed in times of uncertainty as now. The current leadership and infection as covered here are times that can stir much sorrow, yet we must live and get through this era. The neutral thinking spoken of here is very useful during such stressful times.

I admit that not assuming things beyond this time is truly a form of chosen ignorance, yet that chosen unawareness is a strategy to persist. Starting with hope and working that into a plan work with whatever life becomes over our lifetime is how I live. I can remember feeling the need to define every moment of time before I lived it as a young adult.

Then, things changed as they always do in life. Such as, when as an undergrad I did not pass the research methods for political science. A change to that as a minor instead of a double-major, and I still graduate on time with a BS in history in 2013. Further, as a graduate, my first semester was briefly paused by a broken hip.

Later, I was given reprieve to regain my financial aid and graduated 2 and half years later with a masters. Nothing in my life ever worked out as planned beforehand, as I just embraced life and made the best of things as they came. Planning ahead is usually a false idea, but it does give us the leeway to simply live life.

So, embracing life as it comes and not overthinking it as it comes is what I try to do now. Yes, plan for the future, yet KNOW that not all, or even some, of that might ever come to fulfillment.
