I am thankful that we connected too! The daily grind of chronic illness can feel isolating when we don’t talk to others suffering side affects and issues of unseen illness. I just hold the on to hope I survive to old age at this point.

Well, frankly as it is, all I am doing for advocacy is preaching optimism and hope here. I really wish I went into mental health or the medical field, but my mind could handle more than the history. My MA is basically going to waste as I sit. That was years of effort and learning about how to be a historian and then I got MS and started dealing with mental health issues. At least I wound up here in blogging about my life to stay sane. Today we need more nurses/social workers/psychologists and general mental health professionals to cope with the world we live in. The people there now are doing the best with what they have and certainly saving lives, but the whole system is awash in old school obsolete ways of thinking and helping people.
