Love this piece and the message you deliver Jessica! Sounds like books are like the preverbal green on the other side. It sounds so much greener until you get there, and alas it is all light green/yellow at best. 😝

My abilities are to around 2,000 words before I get wonky on most subjects. My attempt at a thesis in grad school clocked in at about 70k. They were all garbage after around 10k or less. I considered breaking it up an publishing it here over time, but I looked at it months ago and wanted to cry it was so bad. I write about my self and health way better than historical non-fiction. 🙄
