Love this post Jessica! Good sound advice for people that hate their jobs, or 49% of the normal works force as you data shows. The idea of quitting sounds great until you look at the monthly bills and the loss of benefits you face. I really doubt that alternatives for health insurance are cheaper or that much better than what you have at your job now.

I’ve never known a steady paycheck for more than a few months. Most folks “side hustles”are me lone source of income now. I guess I am lucky to get a view of the life I missed out on in teaching college via your posts. I am grateful for the times that I adjunct taught for a local college, but I never desire to get back to that life.
