Nice post on life, happiness and progression with out getting preachy Kris! Love the anecdote/allegory about the brake lines. Nice use of a metaphor that any gear-head knows and non-mechanical people can grasp the meaning of without thinking they are being talked down to by a mechanically inclined person.
Everything you cover is so true about letting go and moving on. We do need to close one notebook and move-on with out looking back at it again. Those old emotions needed to be exercised and worked out, but that does not mean we need to go back a relive them again.
