Thank you Jessica for the warning of the negative side of positive thinking. I realized the other day that I think neutrally in a way that enables me to tap my negative and positive thinking. I did this mostly without even knowing I was doing it. It took my mother reading the preview of a book all about it to recognize it and show me. I just went with life as it happened and made the path forward I could. It is largly second nature for me now after doing it since I was a kid. University and Grad school was planned and blew up twice in a failed course and a broken hip, but I regrouped and went forward to gradute. Those positive plans backfired as you warn can happen. I just was used to that and kept going. Now I sit with a masters and disabled with only SSI to show for my efforts. Still having a functioning knowledge of political science and history still helped in my knowing that there was a way if I had the will to fight for the benefits I was due. I just hope others can have faith in the failed state that I know WAY too much about now! 😁❤️
