Thank you Kitty for addressing something I feel myself sometimes. Historically there are people in war torn lands as you say in World War II and Nazi Germany and also in Soviet Russia that dealt with having a sense of humor about their dire circumstances.

I have a book called Hammer and Tickle all about such people making comedic publications and telling jokes while living under the flag of the USSR and their myriad dictators. At all points they show satirists made fun of everyday horrid lives. Their satire was shown to get many through the darkest of times in that era.

As I said, I feel that I also have all the reason in the world to fall into depression. It is a daily chore to keep positive and optimistic, but I take joy in reminding my self of the good in the world. It worked for them back then, so why can’t it work for us? 😁❤️
