My best friend from grade school is now a transgender woman. I had many people I tell that act all crazy and ask how it feels. I simple reply that I would not know since I have not seen them in years.

They act like seeing the change on social media would warp my brain or something. I am happy for her and wish her luck with her husband and life. Yeah, they are not the little boy from my youth or young man I knew in my early 20s, but I hope she can deal with the bigotry that comes form living in Texas and live a happy life.
