Thank you Kris for hitting on many, if not all, the things that made me abandon watching the show after a few episodes into the first season. I decided I simply have enough evil demented things to deal with everyday as it is. You perfectly hit surmised my feelings of despair that hit me when I watched it last year. I want escapism into happy things or a show that at least the protagonist gets to a point that is better then they stated in.

Dystopian fiction is not something I often go to for my entertainment. I get and see all the benefits of understanding the horror of that world the Handmaid’s Tale is based it, but I just want less evil in my life. Mental health is always a struggle for me these days. 🙄
