Whether it’s mental, physical health, election news or how to vote, or news of any kind, we all need to know where exactly the information comes from. Not to sound like an old fool, as a trained historian, political scientist, and former journalist, have to say being misinformed is usually worse than not being informed at all. Get ideas and things to consider, but always double check what information is true and what is just guesses.

As election 2024 approaches, we must remember that AI deep faked audio and videos, politics will get even worse this year. Wikipedia shares that: “Disinformation is false information deliberately spread to deceive people.[1][2][3]” It refers to inaccuracies that stem from inadvertent error.[6] and Misinformation is incorrect or misleading information.[1][2] It differs from disinformation, which is deliberately deceptive and propagated information.[3][4][5]

Disinformation and misinformation go hand in hand with distracting an electorate and denying democracy to a whole nation-state of people.

With Trump threatens American democracy, these weapons will be used in various ways that can deceive and fool large numbers of voters as they head to the polls in November.

KNOW if what you are voting for is a policy or issue that is a real thing, or just a lie to trick you into losing our democracy due to ending our democracy.
