The Diabetic Cyborg Life 05/03: “the Only Thing That Matters is Winning”: the Fall of the GOP into Fascism
The Hope Hicks testimony about Trump shows the ethic that was the norm during those years of Mitch McConnell and the Republican in the post Obama years. They believed that the Democrats were all about spreading the wealth and “communism” as all the right put it at the time. After the Affordable Care Act was passed, they saw the insane popularity of many getting health care for the first time and were scared that the law could change everything.
Americans caring that fellow Americans have health care is something that their selfish first minds could never compute. The view that someone might get an advantage over them was anathema to their senses.
The American mind-set was supposed to be all will step on their fellow Americans IF I get a leg up on them because of it.
People getting access to needed health care for little to no payment is the exact opposite of the capitalist world Americans are supposed to be all about.
So, that set the stage for a fascist overthrow of the GOP in the only elections that are not tainted by fraud are ones they win.
Why? Not because of fraud or any real threat to democracy, but because they said so.
